The study was conducted in Peshawar region since 2018 and the major objective of the study was to see four different factors relation with the employees turnover intentions in Habib Bank Limitted Peshawar Region Pakistan. The total branches of Habib Bank Limited was 48 while only 14 branches on the basis of more employees were selected for the study. The total employees number in 14 branches was 215 while only 158 respondents were contacted for data collection because some respondents were not ready for filling the questionnaire. Descriptive statistics and regression analysis was used for data analysis. The constant value was 2.54 and was highly significant at .05 confidence level. Similarly the working environment coefficient was -.226 and was highly significant at .05 confidence level. Which shows that if the working environment increase one unit then 0.226 unit negative change will be occurred in the turnover intention of the employments of the HBL. The coefficient of Job Stress was 0.322 and was highly significant at .05 confidence level. It indicates that when one unit increase will be occurred in job stress then 0.322 unit change will be occurred in turnover intention of the HBL employees in the study area. The career growth coefficient was -.032 and was found non significant at .05 confidence level. The result shows that if one unit change will be occurred in career growth of HBL employees then 0.032 unit negative change will be occurred in the HBL Employee turnover intention. The compensation coefficient was -.123 and was significant at .05 confidence level. The result indicates that if one unit change will be occurred in compensation then .123 unit negative change will be occurred in the turnover intention of the employee of HBL. The F value of the model was 45.566 and the model was over all significant. The R2 value was 0.544 which shows how much the independent variables explain the model. On the basis of problems, following recommendations were suggested for its improvement:- Stressful environment for employees should be avoided and good working environment should be provided to the employees in the banks. Job stress should be reduced inside the bank. Chances for career growth should be facilitated to the HBL employees and compensation plan should be arranged for employee of the bank for reduction of turnover intention in the HBLPeshawar region. it is recommended for the future research worker to spread this study in other big cities of Pakistan to further clear the situation; Future research was also recommended to include other factors that might affect the turnover of the banking employees and in the long run which will improve also the outcome of the HBL.Key words: Factors , Affecting Employees Turnover Intentions, Habib Bank Limited, Peshawar Region Khyber Pukhthunkhwa DOI: 10.7176/JESD/11-11-02 Publication date:June 30th 2020

A Review on Energy Consumption Optimization Techniques in IoT Based Smart Building Environments

    Get PDF
In recent years, due to the unnecessary wastage of electrical energy in residential buildings, the requirement of energy optimization and user comfort has gained vital importance. In the literature, various techniques have been proposed addressing the energy optimization problem. The goal of each technique was to maintain a balance between user comfort and energy requirements such that the user can achieve the desired comfort level with the minimum amount of energy consumption. Researchers have addressed the issue with the help of different optimization algorithms and variations in the parameters to reduce energy consumption. To the best of our knowledge, this problem is not solved yet due to its challenging nature. The gap in the literature is due to the advancements in the technology and drawbacks of the optimization algorithms and the introduction of different new optimization algorithms. Further, many newly proposed optimization algorithms which have produced better accuracy on the benchmark instances but have not been applied yet for the optimization of energy consumption in smart homes. In this paper, we have carried out a detailed literature review of the techniques used for the optimization of energy consumption and scheduling in smart homes. The detailed discussion has been carried out on different factors contributing towards thermal comfort, visual comfort, and air quality comfort. We have also reviewed the fog and edge computing techniques used in smart homes

A field study was conducted on clay loam soil at the Agriculture research institute, Swat during Kharif 2012. Main objective of the study was to determine the yield response factor on maximum, optimal and minimum irrigation levels of soybean varieties, using two varieties (swat 84 and malakand 96) having four replicates and four irrigation levels. Relative yield response (Ky) were determined from relative yield decrease (1-Ya/Ym) and relative evapotranspiration deficit (1-ETa /ETm). Ky values on I1(I40) of variety V1 (Swat 84) were recorded from 0.38 to 1.48 and Ky values on I1of V2(Malakand 96) were recorded from 0.82 to 2.78. Ky values on I2(I60)of variety V1 were recorded from 0.37 to 1.77, and Ky value on I2 of V2 were recorded from 0.79 to 3.23. Ky values on I3(I80) of variety V1 were recorded from 0.30 to 1.52, and Ky values on I3 of V2 were recorded from 0.47 to 3.14. Ky values of variety V1 ranged from 0.30 to 1.77, for V2 it ranged from 0.47 to 3.23.Hence it is concluded that among both the varieties V2 performed better on irrigation two (V2I2), thereforethis strategy is recommended for irrigated areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan

A field study was conducted on clay loam soil at the Agriculture research institute, Swat during Kharif 2012. Main objective of the study was to compare the physiological parameter and yield of soybean using two varieties (swat 84 and malakand 96) having four replicates and four irrigation level. The mean of days to emergence for I40, I60, I80, I100 were 7, 6, 7 and 6 respectively. Days to emergence m-2 mean for I40, I60, I80, I100 were 17, 15, 16 and 16 respectively. The mean of plant height for I40, I60, I80, I100 were 69, 71, 71 and 74 respectively. Days to anthesis mean for I40, I60, I80, I100 were 73, 76, 76 and 77 respectively. Days to maturity, mean for I40, I60, I80, I100 were 95, 98, 96 and102 respectively. The plant height and days to maturity were found statistically significant (P ? 0.05) for the selected soybean varieties Results showed that among both the varieties V2 performed better on irrigation four (V2I100) therefore, it is recommended for irrigated areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

This study makes significant payment to our beliefs about issues and solution of ethical climate and turnover intention. This research is not only discusses how ethical climate creates trust in supervisor, emotional exhaustion, and organizational commitment but also explains how these parameters affect job satisfaction, which relates to turnover intention. All the parameter, we use in our research is well tested and exercised. To explain our point of view in well understandable manner, a structured model is derived from the literature on the subject. More over this research brings the issue of ethical climate to the discussion table and provides a well-established path to other researchers. The research will make the managers able to lessen the turnover intention in the organization. As the study linking various variables and theories, it suggests the main affects and causes of their interdependences. It also helps managers to maintain such an ethical climate, which leads to job satisfaction and less turnover rate
